Single large Monkey Wrench block in hand dyed fabrics.  Machine quilted with trapunto feathers.

I dyed some fabric that didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it, then saw an antique Amish quilt that really inspired me to use this fabric and some of my other hand dyed fabrics to make a similar one. 

I decided to continue with the "Amish updated" idea, and used traditional quilting designs with modern techniques, machine quilting and adding trapunto to the main design elements.
