Supplies:
clear plastic ruler with easy-to-see 1/4" mark (6x12 or 3x18 recommended)
scissors
small bag for trash
a few baggies or envelopes for keeping track of small pieces
rotary cutter & mat
iron & ironing pad (can share with 2-3 people)
sewing machine
basic sewing supplies (pins, stitch ripper, etc.)
neutral thread
Fabrics: 
Unless indicated, all are small pieces, no more than 1/8 yard.
A=background (includes 1 1/2" border) 1/2 yard
B=beak
C=head (white/gray print)
D=wattles (red print or tone-on tone)
E=eye (black)
G=black/teal print
H=black/white stripe or plaid
I=smaller black/white stripe or plaid
J=rust/bronze
K=stripe--black & rust or tan
L=gold/rust print
M=feet (may be same fabric as beak)
N=another black print
1/2 yard for border triangles and outer border (may be one of the above fabrics, or another fabric which picks up those colors)
