I expect that all students will be able to use a sewing machine and rotary cutter. I consider this basic to all my classes and call this level “Beginner"
Some classes have an additional pattern or materials fee. A supply list will be provide for each class when it is scheduled.
White Shoal Level: Beginner & up 3 hours
Freezer paper piecing is a unique method using freezer paper to make single-use templates which are left on the fabric to stabilize it and give guidance in constructing this “puzzle-like” pictorial quilt, featuring the White Shoal lighthouse. (Classes available with any of my patterns.) $10 pattern fee.
Beginning Celtic Applique by Machine Level: All 3 hours
Students will create a little Celtic heart block with or without fabric insets to learn how to make bias strips, arrange them in a simple Celtic design, and appliqué them by machine.
**In some cases, may require a $12 kit fee.
Kaleidoscope Level: Intermediate 6 hours
Make a stunning little Kaleidoscope quilt with strip piecing and freezer paper! You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make this complex looking quilt.
T-Shirt Crazy Quilt by Machine Level: All 3 hours
Learn to use your machine’s decorative stitches to make a crazy quilted block which could end up as a pillow, purse, etc. Start with the logo from a favorite T-shirt and build your block around it.
Buttonhole Stitch Applique Level: All 3 hours
Use the buttonhole stitch on your machine to make your fused appliqué sing, making a coneflower block.
Invisible Machine Applique Level: All 3 hours
Looks like hand appliqué. No fusibles in this one. Lancaster Rose block.
Stone Soup Quilts Level: Intermediate 6 hours
Bring your orphaned blocks, leftovers, parts of blocks, etc, and we will combine them into a random sampler.
